About Me

My photo
Barb D-P
Creative person, a seeker of wisdom, inspiration, and deep relationship. Recently retired and quickly becoming an expert in the art of napping – the best antidote and resistance I’ve learned to the toxicity of the white supremacist capitalist culture of the USA. I’m of Euro-descent, raised a Northern Midwest kid – now Southwest adult – humbly acknowledging the unspeakable wounds suffered by the First Nation peoples who tended the magnificent lands I’ve been privileged to occupy as a result of my own ancestors’ acts of colonization. Married to Rich, who loved me so much he was willing to add my last name with a hyphen and complicate his life forever after. Three grown kids, and depending on how you count, either 2 or 7 grandchildren (it’s complicated!) - all sources of great learning, delight, and pride! Wrestling writer, artist monk, couch potato whenever possible. I am Christian by tradition and training, but I find the Christ-Incarnating Spirit almost anywhere and everywhere love, truth, justice, compassion and yearning for wholeness and healing are manifested.
